I like the look of the revised Arfur.

Better leisure facilities could be a potential gold mine.

A tidy bar area, would be nice and entice people to come earlier and drink more.

It's horrible when people are turned away from the Glaziers due to crowding.

Brilliant!

Blimey ! I had no idea that the BBS was infested with so many bodging builders.

It's an actual realistic idea for how it could be rebuilt, instead of the genius "we need to demolish and rebuild" without even a care for how much that would cost. Realism is the name of the game here, yes we need a modern stadium but we have to do that to a budget.

Dorking's plan was exactly what I meant. If done properly with decent facilities and exec boxes then I see no reason why this would be a "bodge job".

I know it takes away some of the capacity of the stand but that's where the 2nd tier comes in, therefore retaining the 9k capacity. The roof could be designed to enable it to join to both the Holmesdale and Whitehorse (once a 2nd tier is built on it), therefore meaning the corners could be also be seated, further increasing the capacity.

With a new increased capacity Main Stand we could be looking at a decent 30k+ stadium.

and

2 - All future Government funding for transport to be funnelled into teleportation, thereby negating the requirement for cars, buses, trains or anything else for that matter.

But no, not a word from anyone. Fair enough, you just carry on.

I'm sure building some football pitches up in the sky would be cheaper than buying land, and have less opposition from local residents. The hawkmen would be able to carry little fellas like Jon Williams to training, and people like Paddy and Gardner could use one of Flash Gordon's air bikes if they're too heavy. Recruit Wonder Woman to administer physical therapy, and we'd be laughing.

Also less chance of being under threat from the 'child snatchers' alluded to by Steve Parish, as the original character from the film was never able to successfully pursue Chitty Chitty Bang Bang once it took to the skies.

Tie it in with a park and fly scheme, everyone's a winner. We just have to remember the box of Maltesers for each new signing, and that's the playing side taken care of also.

Should there be any concerns about the hawkmen ripping the club off as a result of their monopoly on the 'stadia in the sky' market, then I'm sure Lando Calrissian could provide a competitive quote.
All the answers are right there, always have been.......yet silence. And for that reason, I'm out.

Why Selhurst? We need to move back home to CPP. There must be a way of using the 2 transmitter towers as goal posts, just build a couple more in the park. There would be no congestion issues for those damned NIMBY's to moan about as we'd all get there by jetpack. In fact I dont think there are any possible negatives to this plan.

This shit just got real.

What ever happened to Ron Noades plastic mock up of the new stadium? Do we still have it?

I remember seeing it in the reception or players lounge years ago.

I think it's quite clear that my posts don't advocate staying at Selhurst........

That's my feeling. The loss of revenue from rebuilding the Arthur first would surely be less than the loss of revenue AND facility of the main stand?
