I have (and still wear) the 1989-90 sash away kit. It's amazing quality - the sash is made of separate bits of material - not printed, or even stitched on top of the white.

I think I've still got the hummel sash somewhere too.

Have never seen a Hummel kit for sale anywhere sadly. If anyone is willing to part with one (medium or large) I'd be very interested.

Any of the white ones, or blue would be great. Think 86/87 home is favourite though.

Mine would be far too small

The repros the OP is talking about where made in Bangkok maybe 8 years ago. He wouldn't let me pick them up in person and tried to charge me the normal postage to the UK. It turned up 65 kms down the road with a 40Baht (80p) stamp on it.

I bought mine in the former sports shop in Whitehorse Lane a few weeks after the match. Still have it, never worn it to a Palace match!

I have the 89/90 sash signed by Ian Wright (a week before the cup final). I also still have my Hummel shorts, which I occasionally wear as pyjama bottoms. The shirt was thrown out by my mother, I have never entirely forgiven her.

I donated all my old shirts to Africa via Eagle Eye years ago, we've had some shockers but the away sash this term is ok

Photos of the label and the club badge - front and back should be enough to identify what you have
Here are the two. I'm certain that the one on the left is legit, the one on the right is the bootleg.

Didn't the light blue one just have a red sash? Don't remember white in the sash.

Light blue one had just a red sash

Hummel did a red one with a sash, Trevor Aylott era. Think the sash on that one was blue and white

Legend has it that there was a very rare all blue Hummel kit with a red and white sash, a sort of third kit circa 1984/85.

Never actually seen it myself and back then I hardly missed an away game either, but some people swear blindly it exists - possibly the rarest of Palace shirts of 'modern' times, certainly never made available for sale.

It features on the Holmesdale forum Kit History. Says it was a 4th kit 85/86 season...

I really don't think it did. Their was a dark blue training top with a white and red hummel strip down the sleeves, but no sash. I think people are confusing the two.

I could be wrong but I'm fairly sure that kit (I'm not saying it was a Palace one) featured on an away team playing Dunmore United, in early/mid 80s kids' footy dram Murphy's Mob......

I believe the rarest shirt is the "Romania" away shirt made by adidas. It was basically a Romania shirt with a Palace badge on and AFAIK they only made something like 16 of them, I used to own one but sold it.
