I would be surprised if the club really spent £30m on these two. Not convinced Chaldi has the right mentality that fits with the rest of the squad.

Under no circumstances should the club sign any Stoke player either.

We don’t need a right back. AWB will be ready to start next season with Ward & Kelly as back up.

Is Ward staying? I think we need an experienced and confident right back as another option. Can't rely on Wan-Bissaka this early in his career.

Agreed. As good as AWB has been, it's too soon to say whether he can maintain that level for a 38 game season.

Possibly consistancy is in doubt. Not for me AWB was fantastic when introduced in a cauldron of games against top 6 sides. Young players can be inconsistant but this lad has shown maturity beyond his years.

If Ward leaves I can see RH wanting to bring in an experienced Right Back . Feel AWB will play more games but doubt he will be first choice next season .

He needs to be our first choice if heís going to establish himself as our right back long term. Yes, heíll make mistakes but heís got the whole season to learn his trade.

Has Ward been linked with any other premier league clubs? Canít see why he would want to leave unless RH wants to replace him?

Saw something on Twitter last week that suggested he was off to Watford, but don't know the source or validity of it.

If Ward did leave, we could do worse than Moritz Bauer from Stoke - he's looked good when I've seen him on MOTD, and also live on Saturday despite being played out of position (left wing to start, then right wing later on). Seems very quick, able to get forward and back, and solid defensively.

They only signed him in January on a 4 1/2 year contract, and I don't know what the fee was, so no idea if they'll be looking / willing to sell, but he would be a decent replacement IMO.

Appears Burnley have been reading this forum.

Mirror says they've bid £25m for the pair.

Never underestimate Dyche's transfer policy, just look at his achievements at minnows Burnley and you realise that is how to manage a football club of their standing. He knows his clubs ability/limitations and buys players that can slot/buy into their ethos, and these Two players especially Dawson would be ideal for their style.
Believe me Palace can do a lot worse than taking on Dawson and Rondon.

Jay Rodriguez, despite the name, started at Burnley IIRC

How on earth do you come to that conclusion?

They finished 7th. They are solid and have decent players. The only way they struggle is a few big injuries and are spread too thin trying to compete in Europe as weíve seen other clubs do before.

Signing two players who are reasonable enough quality for the premiership will help them avoid that not lead to it.

I donít want Dawson and would be meh on Rodriquez but they wonít make a team struggle by joining them

Dawson is the archetypal Burnley player. I reckon I could be a scout for Burnley. They seem to have a real defined player profile they go for.
