Get over it.
Yet when fans call out about things like this, people want them to not have an opinion that differs from their own?

I seem to remember quite a few people on here laughing or outraged about Allardyce and being uncovered, I think you'd even be able to pull up an old thread about a player or two being called out for being an idiot for being on the wrong side of the law - most recently Innis.

Fat Sam and Lee, dinosaurs the pair of them. You'd think football had been frozen in 1984 or something.

Doesn't mean you have to support it or legitimise it.

"Get over it" sounds like some <Edited by Mods> Breitbart tagline.

Please do not try to circumvent the swear filter.

Grim times dodgy duo in the dugout. When it eventually comes on top we can throw brown envelopes at them.

I don't think it will be that divisive - most palace fans outside of the BBS will probably just shrug their shoulders

Not at all - I think it is funny that fans seem to think that one of the key facets of being a Palace manager or coach is to be free of all scandal, when the whole industry is full of them - we have just had three successive morally dubious individuals in charge before BFS.

Good interview with him online - think he'll do a great job having heard that.

Disliked him as a player, but he is an experienced coach who has coached far bigger and better players than ours

Likely to be a big improvement on KM in terms of ability on the training ground

Not necessarily the case - the reaction to BFS when he came out for his first game was the most muted I have ever heard - loads of people didn't clap and some jeered. People got on his back really quickly - the atmosphere could genuinely be called toxic. That isn't just people from the BBS unless the BBS has a hell of a lot more active members than appears. All your reply shows is a wish to be right in your view that he is a great appointment and no one minds about his previous employment dealings as the evidence so far as BFS goes is that people do care about it and it shows in their attitude to him and what is on the pitch.

You may well be in the majority but a sizable minority think otherwise which is what makes it divisive

In the Holmesdale. Everyone clapped.

It turned toxic if you call that, due to the players quite uniquely after a year of throwing up awful performances decided to put in one of the worst in living memory. With many not even trying.

We get it, you are a hater. but the hate in the posts is rather boring. At this rather early stage of BFS tenure quite telling on yourself.

I think maybe other than Pardew you would of found some that would of been dismayed at their appointments as well, certainly Warnock after the twitter/talksport spat with Puncheon.

I think someone on here summed it up perfectly. 'Another divisive appointments, the fanbase could of done without it but it was always going to happen with Allardyce being appointed.

I think one thing that every Palace fan can be certain of is that we want to know the club is in good hands, certainly someone with such a past or present is not going to rest easy with the whole fanbase, which is why I am disappointed the club appointed Allardyce. It's also been pointed out about what effect Lee might have with agents and possible players incoming, for me, that is a concern. Plus, is Sammy Lee's run in with the courts finished?

He's a real upgrade for us in terms of knowledge and experience and you would expect coaching ability based on his past experience.

Hence changes made.
It's obvious the previous way of looking to get the right motivation for some players hasn't worked; there is no one best way to motivate players (or, indeed, any group of people).

Motivating people "the old way" was the shouting/hair dryer treatment sort of approach; it worked for some players at some times then, as it works for some players and some times now.
