Is Sutton Station open today? Nothing was running through there last night as it was pitch black.

Routine wait outside London Bridge now, been here 10 minutes so probably only another 10 to go.

You know it's gonna be bad when the train has stopped at New cross gate station when it isn't even a scheduled stop

Wait until January when the main line is taken away and every train goes up and down Bricklayers Arms Junction. That'll be fun!

Sutton station was a electric cable cut by contractors. I worked at Sutton around 12 years ago and when we had that happened we had loads of emergency lighting on charge for such problems. Given that was so long ago I did think it was bizzare that they don't have that know unless the dreaded "health and safety" means we all are more stupid now and don't understand that it's darker so must be more careful. Yesterday they had signal problems in Selhurst Depot which may explain the short formations this morning but that is just a guess. As for London Bridge its a pigging nightmare. Only another 4 years to go.......................................

I had to ask the signaller to stop at Sutton last night as I had been given three massive emergency lights to drop there and yet was told not to stop there.

London Bridge is a accident waiting to happen. With the delays, particularly in the evening, you have over 1000 people waiting to board each 12 carriage train and a few hundred getting off -the platforms are about 8 foot wide.
Getting off in the morning with an 8 foot gap at one end of the platform and no other exit is a nightmare. Particularly when you need to change at London Bridge to head on to Charing Cross/Canon St.

I got stuck walking behind the make up lady on the way off the train. She's even more annoying when she's walking. Swinging her bag about and kept stopping.

Sometimes you have to trust people to be a bit sensible.

London Bridge is horrendous at the moment are we in any danger I them getting rid of the boards soon so can walk normally to the platform and not take 10 minutes getting off them? Also what's the deal with closing the entrance via the underground some nights? Yeah let's close the entrance and make people walk to an escalator outside while its pissing down on a slippery floor... Genius, then to go through that weird queue system like sheep.

Things have started going tits up on the Tulse Hill line too, which generally used to be ok. They have taken to disabling the information signs on the platform at times too, presumably so people don't know/get annoyed at quite how late their train is going to be.

I reckon they do this so that they do not get even worse congestion on the narrow platforms which i suppose is understandable.

Yes, people need to act sensibly, which they do, but if it's 8:24 and the boards are showing the train is leaving at 8:25 you have people pushing one way to get on the train and everyone trying to get off because the platform because the train is inevitably 10 minutes late. People who do the commute regularly are fine, it is those who don't do it often who are most likely to be seen trying to push through.
