Can someone confirm if and when the Southern strikers plan to go on strike. If they do I'm guessing that means almost zero trains ?

Just clocked that the standalone strike day - Friday 16th. Is THE big Christmas Friday. The busiest social night in London in the run-up to Christmas. And no doubt, not by co-incidence.

But it's all for us, really. etc.

Add into that the 15th... will be messed up because nothing would have been running. And you can all give yourselves a marvellous pat on the back.

Shall we strike when no one is on the trains then, like Christmas Day? Not sure that will have any effect.

We know he's a very rich man who makes his money by ensuring really rich companies pay their "fair share" in tax, and I'm sure he does it in a totally professional manner within the law of the land. He has probably never even used a tax loop hole.
He also thinks people who strike (over safety) should be sacked/ and that they're financially motivated.

I think the point he might be making is that these strikes have made us suffer for 6 months on our daily commute and that then hitting people in leisure time as well seems like double whammy and I agree with him. However I understand why the strikes are happening and the safety arguments but I'm heartily sick of the whole thing

You and me both buddy. I've just moved house... the last thing I need right now is a strike.
Remember... Southern had a choice of going to ACAS or Hight Court... guess which one they went for?
