CPFC DSA (Crystal Palace FC Disabled Supporters Association)

I have been elected to the CPFC DSA committee as Social Media Officer

Please if any of Palace's disabled fans or their carers have any suggestions or views on issues related to disabled fans at Selhurst Park or at away games can they post them on this thread.

The CPFC DSA was set up at the request of the club to give disabled Palace fans a specialist group to liaise with CPFC over matters involving the matchday experience of disabled fans at Palace matches.

Our patron is Palace legend Julian Speroni who kindly attends our annual Social event which was held last night at Selhurst Park.
Also in attendance last night was Danny who is the CPFC Player Liaison Officer as well as their Kit Man

The CPFC DSA has now been going for two years and any disabled Palace fan or their carer can join the group for free.

The group circulates a regular newsletter updating our members on issues that they have raised or changes made and being made to improve the disabled facilities at Selhurst Park and in the close season once again there have been many improvements to the disabled facilities within the ground.

(Mods please can I ask that this Official thread is pinned)

All the best with your efforts, HD, and all those involved with the DSA.

Personally don't think stickys work on this site as people check it for the latest talk & news meaning that pinned threads quickly beck e stale. Better to keep this thread updated with the latest goings on involving the club & it's supporters with disabilities.

I found this in relation to your question Steve

I do know that the group does work in liaison with various other groups related to CPFC and the Level Playing Field who helped CPFC in the formation of the CPFC DSA.

There are now Premier League driven bodies that will monitor how Premier League clubs are providing their facilities for disabled fans by means of club feedback to the group.

I would like to mention how good the stewards were at Fulham in helping Palace's disabled fans.

The club would like it known that there are plenty of wheelchair spaces available for matches as we currently only have 50% of those available in use following the creation of many more spaces as required by the regulations.

If you would like more information on what spaces are available then please contact Pam Groves at CPFC who is the club's Disability Liaison Officer.

Many positive points were put forward by CPFC to improve the matchday experience for Palace's Disabled fans and their Carers at home and away games.

These will be published in due course.

CPFC have agreed to meet the CPFC DSA on a quarterly basis to discuss matters related to Palace's 400 plus Disabled Fans and their Carers.

The CPFC DSA welcomes all of Palace's Disabled Fans and their Carers to join our group and membership is free.

Please feel free to contact me for any matters that relate to Palace's Disabled Fans and their Carers experience's at home and away games and I will forward them on.
