Was impressed with both our loans last season. Both conducted themselves well and worked hard and are good players too

Yep, I'd be delighted to see either of our two loanees sign long term contracts. TFM isn't the finished product just yet, but I suspect that he will eventually develop into a top player

Always liked his attitude but not sure he would want to come on loan again just to be a squad player . Sadly for him don't see him making it at United but hope he has a good career .

Zabaleta was playing regularly for Espanol in La Liga when he was 20, walker was in the Spurs first team at 21, Clyne was playing for Saints in the PL at 21 and as we know was already good enough to for at least a year.

I think the general point stands - for most players what you see at 20/21 is more or less how they are going to be - the exception is when either they haven't had top level coaching or they are playing in the wrong position. The
Former clearly isn't the case for tfm but the latter might be.

Players all develop differently. Where was Glenn Murray at 21? Or at 25 for that matter?

Doubt Jose will give him much of a chance at United.

Should at least enquire about a fee

I think he'd be in the first category - started out in non league and didn't have access to high level coaching at an early age. Same with Wright.

Not too bothered personally unless its free or small fee. How long is his MUFC contract?

Better than Ward but no better than AWB.

A good player and wish him all the best. Will be a top quality Centre back one day.

Let me know when he learns to win some headers and I'll start to believe you.

He was a good loan for us I think - professional with a good attitude.

He was a bit lucky that AWB broke through...bad timing for him I suppose. I think he's like many young players at the bigger clubs - buckets of potential but desperately lacking in first team games and the experience that comes with that. A couple of seasons of playing 30+ games and I think he'd develop rapidly into a very useful player.

I agree with Timbo. A bit ho-hum and, quite frankly, I'd hope a loan player could contribute more than he eventually did. Did enough, I wouldn't call his loan a waste, but certainly not enough to want him back.

You have to say a loan player that can’t break into the first 11 is a bit of a waste really

ATM he is one of those players who isn't good enough in any one position. Unless he can change that he would be a very expensive utility player that would sometimes just make the bench.
