At a time when the FA are about to appoint a reasonably well-educated
England manager at long last(albeit a local lad & Palace fan

against the
wishes of much of the tabloid press, it was interesting to read a headline
in today's "South London Press" over a report by Richard Cawley, telling
us that "Wilf May Solve Our Goal Glut". The article told us that our
manager is ready to play Wilfried Zaha as a striker next season to solve
Palace's scoring problems. Whilst such a ploy by Dougie Freedman
may have lot of merit, it would surely be employed to deal with the
team's goal FAMINE rather than it's goal GLUT?
It looks as if some of Britain's journos may need to polish up on their
command of English vocabulary, once Roy Hodgson takes over that
England job.........!
