Oh the contrast.
It is rather depressing

Very good interview. Shame it took 3 weeks to broadcast!

Wilf has grown up so much recently. Having a kid is clearly one major contributor to that

Not really Roy's fault. It was last year really when Wilf hit peak form that he deserved the call up and Townsend got it ahead of him. It was a joke.

Big test for Wilf now. He needs to be our Messi & carry the team through. Let’s see if he can step up?

Kenny Sansom is probably pipping him career wise at the moment still, but by the time Wilf finishes I suspect you will be right.

Fenwick can be relied on to steer the ship when the paid manager is having a holiday though.

Oh the contrast.
And here lies the huge problem the Club has - Basic infrastructure. Look, I actually love the basic rusticness of Selhurst Park and it's atmosphere, but the ground and basic training facilities are behind most other Clubs in the top 2 Leagues in this country.
We are led to believe that Pellegrino had to choose between us and Soton. I'm sure they offered him a better contract and probably more money to spend in the window, but the difference between the 2 set ups, must have been like chalk and cheese, to him.
And I'm sure that must have had an influence on Pulis and Big Sam leaving, as well.
We may well make quite big name signings and pay them very well, but the general facilities at the Club are really holding us back, now. We have done very well to make 5 seasons in a row in the Prem, but I'm afraid a season like this, was eventually inevitable.

Great interview.

Re Eng vs IVC, his quote is telling - 'I had a four year gap where I was not picked no matter what I did'

It must've been a no-brainer for him. Hope he gets to play against England at some point & shows everyone what they all overlooked.

Love him.

Reckon he probably would pass French GCSE if he's good enough to moan about the gaffer in it.

That was a very good interview. He comes across very well, and is very likable.

Are you actually for real? Haha! **** me!!

You make it sound like Steve said the least shit thing we have is a bar so you might aswell just film in there! It's nothing to do with palace it was the BBC and zaha! As much about England, Ivory Coast, his childhood and Utd as anything palace!! Southampton bit was about.... behind the scenes at Southampton! Not a ******* comparison!

Do you really over analyse that much or are you just looking for depressing things at palace that aren't even there!

Anyway, great interview. Well done BBC for actually letting wilf come across as himself and going someway against the stroppy, petulant child the media has painted him as before.

Love you wilf

I thought Wilf came across really well; calm, considered and clearly determined to succeed.

I liked the fact he felt confident about his football ability but was humble about life, and thankful.

Shame England refused to pick the best winger in the country, but am forever grateful Man U couldn't see the talent right in front of their red noses.
