Indeed

Also good to see the return of the Team time Trial, even though it’s at the expense of the prologue.
May be a bit harder in the first week for the sprinters as Brittany is lumpy and, hopefully, will enable one or two successful breakaways.
Hadn’t realised that they were changing the points competitions, only having one intermediate sprint (with more points) and offering more points to mountain top finishes.

I think Cav could struggle, esp. in the first week. Sounds like there are some short, sharp climbs on the 'flatter' sprinters stages.

I'm a bit non plussed with the TdF route, apart from the Galibier and ADH, it's not really much to get excited about. A Schleck will win.

I heard an interview with Rod Ellingworth (team Sky and team GB Guru) that was recorded in March this year. He said Wiggins wouldn't do that well in 2010 but watch for him in 2011.....it was on a Real Peloton podcast. Throroughly recommended by the way.

Blimey! 8 mountain-top finishes plus about 20km over some kind of dirt-tracks (like this year). Although the TdF is obviously THE race, I must say I look forward to the Vuelta and the Giro just as much if not more.

Certainly not a Giro for the faint hearted
Suspect the unmade roads that feature hark back to the days Coppi and Bartali immediately after the war when big chunks of the route were on unmade roads or ones wrecked in the war

If anyone is thinking of having a serious crack at the TdF then they need to give the Giro a miss. Yes Bradley, this means you - stay at home, put your feet up and watch it on Eurosport like the rest of us. (unless he's already conceded the Tdf to a Schleck)

New Real Peleton podcast now available - rather rambling, but well worth a listen for Matt Rendell and Ned Boulting humorous ramble about Contador and his 'defence' Made my snowy walk into work today acceptable

Was always likely although Sky did make enquiries by some accounts.

They said they gave up when they realised he had his heart set on this move.
