Absolutely not.
I am quite happy with us leaving the largest trading bloc in the world, that just happens to be on our doorstep. Makes total sense to anyone with half a brain, and many with no brain at all...

Nothing.

But perhaps, just perhaps it's the fact that he and Banks raised the subject out of the blue.

Or maybe in 2018. It can in fact happen whenever democracy decides it would like it to happen.

Because it was unprovoked and he went onto say .....that it would decide it once and for all. Tbh he is someone I never agree with (not even on this) and I cannot reconcile this 'suggestion' with any leave voter that i know. I have got some builders round at the moment (all leave voters) who were bemused at his comments yesterday. Two of them said they wouldn't bother voting next time, they were just fed up with all of it

Farage has seen the writing on the wall. His business interests are suffering and he appears to understand that he'll be a lot worse off. The call for a second referendum is all about getting back into favour with the right people. And absolving himself of as much of the blame as possible if we leave and it's as bad as he has begun to realise.

Well that's a fair supposition - and, as I wrote earlier, with politicians you always have to be wary that they say one thing and feed a different slant out to the media privately; so one can never be sure. But on the face of it his words don't really add up to much.

If we are holding people to what they said during the campaign, where is the £350m for the NHS?

We were lied to so badly it is amazing the "leavers" have never ended up in court.

The words might not add up to much. But the fact that the all conquering
victor(s) chose to kick this sleeping dog is of significance. Non?

Yes but Cameron was an utter prick and the referendum was utterly botched. Surely everyone can see that.

And even if they can't, democracy continues. There was no decisive result, no meaningful majority. The issue needs to be resolved before any action is taken.

What about best of three, or the **** the establishment vote.

If a new vote happened and it was for remain we would get royally ****ed on the re-entry. I would wager Euros and bigger contributions. They have us over a barrel as it is.

I am no EU lover but it was such a shit campaign for remain you have to wonder if Brexit was their secret agenda.
