"They didn't really create a lot," explained Dowie.

Crystal Palace manager Iain Dowie felt his side needed to be more creative in their loss to Blackburn Rovers.
The Eagles managed just one shot on target at Ewood Park as they crashed to a 1-0 loss thanks to Morten Gamst Pedersen's goal.
The Norwegian's goal arrived on the stroke of half-time and Dowie believes his side should have dealt with the set-piece.
"They didn't really create a lot," explained Dowie.
"We should have dealt with it. It [Pedersen's goal] was the last kick of the half.
"We should have come back. We showed plenty of gusto, but not enough craft."

Now I hope this is not a true statement from Dowie.

Judging by Motd they were the only team creating any chances.

If you listened to the game it sounded as if they were on top for long periods of this game.

Watched the 60 mins highlights on sky and we were not at the races. Only consolation is that Savage should have been sent off in the first half and then who knows what might have happened.

Actually I couldn't listen to the game at work and just followed the thread.

I expected Blackburn to play little football, but from what I heard they played well and certainly created the majority of the chances. Not much has really changed at the bottom. ID should have no issues raising the team for the Liverpool game. I sence a famous victory, something like 4-3!

Obviously can't judge too much from a few minutes of highlights on MotD but we did look poor.

West Brom look easily the best of the teams at the bottom at the moment; Norwich got very lucky against a seriously depleted Newcastle team that should have closed the game out by half-time.

Cracking goal by Safri though.

Southampton looked awful defensively.

Watched extended highlights on Sky. Please don't insult the intelligence of us Palace fans, Iain. They murdered us. We could and should have been on the end of a 3 or 4 nil.

The opposition don't have to create a lot.

Our super fit footballers look completely shot to bits.

After our home game against Arsenal, Wenger praised Palace but he said that he doubted that Palace would be able to maintain that level of physical intensity for the whole season. Arsene is right but I'm not sure what else Dowie has to work with other than workrate and confidence.

Dowie needs to pull a rabbit out of his hat if we are to avoid finishing bottom this season.

Really can't see us beating Liverpool or Newcastle, hell the way we've been playing over the last couple of games I think Southampton and Charlton will turn us over too. Where was Aki???
