yes, he’s been a handy player for the Australian team in recent years; has about 30-40 caps now, although quite a few of those would have been as a local player he played in those local internationals when the Euro based players weren’t available. These days however he seems to be a first team regular. Scored a cracking goal against South Africa back in February. Has been with FC Basle for a few seasons now after coming over from Wollongong Wolves. Could be a handy pick up for Palace, but unconvinced that he could become a regular in the Premiership (when we return).

I have seen him play a couple of times for Australia and i doubt that he would ever be good enough to be a regular in the Premier League. He has 'decent' skills but is quite slow for a winger.

Never, scott is hot property all around europe. Several clubs have taken interest(leverkusen, ajax, besiktas) we havent really got a chance in hell of pulling this one off!!

That would be Archie Thompson.

Chipperfield would excel in the fizzy cup league. Very determined player with some nice skills on top of that. Not the quickest but quick enough to do a very good job on the wing in Div 1.
Good solid signing if we do get him.

He's better than Elrich about who there was some hoohaa a while back. Very honest type who has improved out of sight and should just be about be in the first eleven for Australia...maybe under our new manager he will be....

Honest, dependable, solid, workrate … and boring! He can be a bit of a plodder IMHO. Whereas Elrich has the untested potential – he may turn out it to be a dud, but has more of the excitement factor.
