Apple has just announced an a new ipod device built into a Motorola phone...

that isnt the phone cumbrian. the applenano is to replace the ipod mini which they are phasing out.

the itunes phone is just a motorola phone which has itunes built in but it is nothing special

Good old Apple, keep saying things that suggest they're coming up with new ideas. I seem to remember there being a few MP3 players before the ipod came about, and I've never seen a mobile phone that could store tunes before.

Oh yeah. And I've never come across a phone with an MP3 shuffle mode before.

This new phone is trying to compete with the Walkman phone. And failing miserably. Apart from the MP3 player, this new phone's only got a VGA camera for a start. There are phones coming out with 3 mega pixels and above and like this new phone, some of 'em have stereo speakers. I thought the Walkman phone was a marketing rip off, but this just takes the biscuit.

I bought my 6230 AGGGGES ago now and that has the ability to have MP3s on the SD card which you can buy for it. Its not got much in the way of MP3 software on the phone. But it did the job until i got a pod. Considering this phone came out ages ago i was well impressed with it and dont see what the all this fuss is about with music on phones.
