I would have bought my tickets anyway, but somehow I do feel a bit cheated. We'll need a cheaper price if we hope to sell out. Hope the club is getting good money for the coverage.

Now you know why the ticket prices are so high. As game was on TV, club knew this would reduce attendence together with being mid week match. Therefore make up the lost income by charging the loyal fans £30 per ticket. With money received from TV, club are in a no lose situation. FACT.

As SJ noticed people arriving 10 mins into the game on a week night & thought it would help those fans out. A few other clubs do it too. The only reason the Liverpool game isn't, as it's on Sky.

£30 a ticket is normal for a game at Selhurst these days in the league against rubbish like Hull!

Not likely I'm afraid. Carling Cup rights are with PPV Setanta and as far as I know there is no plan yet to show it anywhere.

Nonsense, this game will virtually sell out whatever the TV coverage or ticket price.

Supply and demand. And you're right, any club drawn against Liverpool in the cup are in a no lose situation financially!
