Fitz Hall in Centre Midfield?
He's played there before for us and could do a job at this level. He's a commanding presence (6ft4), can tackle, quick feet, can pass, fast box to box, can score a goal and could help protect our back four! TBO id prefer him at CB but we've got Boyce, Pop & Hudson as cover. I think him and Soares could work well in midfield?

Agree with Boxing Francis. Fitz played there for a few games last season, and was pretty shocking at it.

With AKI and Leggy out,
and Hughesy and Ben out of form, Soares and Hall could work in the middle with Boycie and Ward in central defence, and that would also solve the right back position, may work

I don't even think Dowie would do anything so stupid...

No. I'd rather play Butts in central midfield. But that would require Granville getting fit.

I don't think we have the cover in defence, and from what I saw of Fitz playing midfield last season, I don't think he could do the job there.

A dangerous thought.
Don't put ideas into Dowie's head. |

At least not again anyway. We should not need to be playing players out of position at all (except left wing) 2 goalkeepers 2 left backs 2 right backs 4 central defenders 2 right sided wingers 0 left sided wingers 6 central midfielders 5 strikers If we have to start playing players out of position in the position where we have more senior players than anywhere else we really are in trouble. |

It seems to me that Fitz's main problem at the moment is his distribution. Why would we play him in midfield.

No, Fitz looked out of place in centre midfield. He is one of the 2 best central defenders at the club and seems to be building a good partnership with Ward - so leave well alone.

Leigertwood plays RB, CB, CM. Fitz is a similar type player only 10 times better. i cant see why it wouldnt work?

did you actually see him play when played in the centre, truly awful, his passing is woeful 9 times out of 10
