Just got in, we were shite. Card display, despite all the effort and to be perfectly blunt, looked shite.

Gabor was at fault, shit positioning.

Butts and Boyuce were run ragged. Ward and Hall were constantly caught out by balls over the top to Knight. Midfield was not at the races at all, Reich looked disinterested again. Dougie was poor, Clinton tried.

All in all, we got what we deserved.

In short, we didn't know how to break down their lines - when defending they played with two disciplined lines of 4 men, and we always looked swamped when going forward - nobody was moving enough to pull some holes in it, and as a result we only had 2 half chances.

Hughes was poor both attacking and defending, and we looked better with Watson on. Reich and McAnuff were only creative outlets.

Defence looked fine, but was bound to buckle under that volume of pressure.

Clinton ran and ran, and was brightest up front, Doug non existant.

Ward 3 - Fairly solid as usual

Couldn't agree more.

I don't like to lose any games, but can just about deal with it when we've put a ton of effort in. Tonight we were embarrassing. We showed no passion or pride - let alone ability. All the supporters who went to that game went to support their clubs (both sets). Our players showed a total lack of resepct for us, the supporters and thats what I find hard to bear.

As far as the game went, Brighton totally deserved their win. They battled for the ball and were well disciplined.

For player ratings, read very low for all.
Gabor made some decent saves in 1st half, but his distribution is becoming laughable.
The defence were caught out time and time again by Knights pace and somehow despite leaving 3 men back at all times they outnumbered us coming forward.
Midfield were non-existant. Jobi showed touches and we improved when Watson came on.
Lack of effort from the players up front too. Andrews showed a lot of deisre and chased everything, but when all we have to try and salvage games are him and Macken, we are in deep trouble.
I'm quite impressed to have managed to mention Macken's name without using the words useless and tosser in the same sentence!!!

We were lucky to be 0-0 at half time and I hoped the bollcking they got at half time would have changed things, but it didn't. I find that incredibly worrying too.

All in all, I'm not a happy bunny...

If i was a brighton fan (which..thank god im not) i'd be so proud of my team. They played their hearts out

But, im not and i feel disgraced.


KIraly 7 Kept us in the game in the first half

Butterfield 6 OK first half, poor second half.

Hall 5 Good in the air, but positioning and distribution shocking

Ward 6 As Hall, but not as bad.

Boyce 5 Ran rugged

McAnuff 6 First half OK, second half poor

Soares 4 Back to the usual performance. Can't pass or tackle or anything else

Hughes 5 Should Dowie have just stuck with Watson? Hughes was unproductive.

Riech 5 The sort of performance you'd expect from a so called 'luxury player.

Freedman 6 unable to create much, but should he have been subbed?

Morrison 6 Played heart out as usual but wasn't too dangerous.

No comment on Subs.
