Non-League football - who do you support ?
I was interested if anyone on the BBS has a 'second' team in the Conference or lower leagues ?
When I first moved back to South London two years ago, the Streatham Guardian used to feature Dulwich Hamlet heavily. And, bizarrely, I started to follow them via the paper. It got to the stage where I was actually looking forward to getting the local rag and seeing how they done the weekend before. I was going to go when Palace weren't playing. Then a senior member of this board *cough* Mat Ov *cough* mentioned there are a lot of Millwall fans that go there so it's not advisable. I was thinking of maybe going to Bromley or Beckenham - thoughts ?

If I had to choose it would be Dulwich Hamlet but I wouldn't say I actively followed them.

Don't actively support any non league side but have a soft spot for Dulwich Hamlet and Kettering Town.

Bromley, Cray Wanderers or Dulwich.
BTW Cray are the world's second oldest team. How rubbish must it have been being the oldest football team, and have to wait for another team to be formed so you can play a game. |

Bromley FC Ryman Premier.
Been supporting them at Hayes Lane for about the last ten years or so, probably get to around 12-15 games a season (mostly at home, though the odd away match), which isn't bad when I've got a Palace season ticket as well.

Sutton Utd for me.
My dad's mate used to be chairman back in the 80's. Still remember going to the cup games v Middlesboro, and then the following year beating Coventry. Then me and my dad drove up to Norwich, who were about 3rd in the league at the time and destroyed Sutton 8-0. However the saddest part was on the way home, one of the players wives died in a car crash I seem to recall. Haven't been down to Gander Green Lane for a few years now but still keep an eye out for their results. |

If, ever, I settle down, it'll be in St. Albans. Really nice little place. Completely off topic, but hey.

Bath City - My Mums from there and supporting Bath city at footie and Bath RFC at Rugby has provided plenty of thrills over the years. Its also nice to support a team from somewhere nice.
