Ward ready to leave

Just read in the star that Darren Ward is ready to quit Palace after another bust up with Dowie. At the bottem it says about Norwich and Sheffield Utd pondering bids.

By the way I think Ward is our best defender but it really was a waste of money buying him in the summer only to get shot of him in January. Really is poor management.

saw him in training today, looked kinda withdrawn from the rest of the players and whenever he could he moved away from them and trained on his own.

My money is on Inspector Clouseau, I mean Iain Dowie. Finally makes a decent signing after a series of cock ups and then loses him in the next transfer window. Only at Palace !!

Why are people so quick to jump on Dowie when the real culprit is much more obvious. Who is it who constantly berates his team mates in public, I wonder?

Agree with both of those because as a Player he is very good but as a person he sounds like a twat.

What I cannot fathom is that he was at Millwall for a number of years, a team full of players of far less ability than ours with no hint of any unrest but he is at Palace a few months and it all goes off, very strange.

Spot on. In the games I've seen him play he is very lippy and seems to have an attitude around certain teamates. If this is causing decention, and we get our moneys worth, I have no problem with him leaving.

No one person in the squad should be above the team, no matter how many honours he's won at Millwall. Boyce has had similar in the past and has integrated well; lead by example not bolloking your fellow teamates.

Maybe he's pissed off that he's not captain, and someone like Hall who shouldn't be anywhere near the captain's armband, is.
