Amazing Season Ticket Deal

I have just received a letter from the sales office confirming my season ticket for next year and then offering me the chance to buy further extensions at £250 a year! I could in fact -for only £675 secure my seat till 2010. Fantastic value, but how do they do it?

How is this right when fans are being asked to pay £30 per game.

By renewing early, you're proving your support for the club...

- according to Kevin Watts.

No. By renewing early, I'm merely buying the season tickets at the correct price and avoiding the club's ridiculous admin penalties.

And avoiding the price hikes if we get and maintain Premiership status.

I'll take my chances on that, considering that hiking prices won't make a blind bit of difference to whether we'll survive or not.

These deals are great and if possible taken up. However the problem is that S.J. by doing this is mortgaging the clubs future and its a great risk. If we do not get back into the premier league before 2010 and worse still struggle in this division or drop a division, then crowds will no doubt fall, TV money will be less and he will not be getting a market rate for tickets in three or four years time.

A great offer but a big risk with the clubs future.

And no guarantee that any new owner will honour the tickets (they probably will but it's an unsecured risk).

I bought early last year & again this year & premiership status didn't seem to matter as the price was the same. Oh yeah I forgot, prices only go up, not down.

it's a good deal considering last year they offered me two years @ £550 - a GRAND SAVING of £25 a season.

I told them to come back to me when they COULD offer me a grand saving, so perhaps this year is my year

They do have such an offer, called the Ambassadors scheme - a 50 or 25 year S/T with extras (cup games, friendlies, programmes, club shop spend and promotion bonuses) but it's a helluva gamble and not cheap.
