Thought the 2nd round draw was unfair in that both Palace and Brighton were "unseeded", therefore it was impossible for us to draw each other.
If they do the same in Round 3 (when the European qualifiers come in) then it will be impossible for Palace to draw Brighton before Round 4.
And we all know they won't get that far.

What do you mean we're 'unseeded'? We were F---ing semi finalists last year

I don't like all this 'seeding' cack, football's turning into tennis.

Anyway the format is the same as usual… Palace march proudly to the semis where we get drawn against either The Arse, Moan Utd or the Scousers. The Evening Standard does an article about how surely this time Palace must get to the final and reward their long suffering fans. Then we lose our best player in a bizzare gardening accident, play a centre half up front/in goal/anywhere but centre half and get really badly slaughtered. The fans sing their hearts out to show up the opposing support for the lame brained glory hunters they truly are, and that gives us the right to call it a moral victory while adding another year to the near century without a meaningful trophy.

Check with the Rothman's Football Year Book – it's written into the 'laws of the game' somewhere that this must always happen.

I fully agree. Seeding is total ********. The romance of a cup is that anyone can draw anyone at any time and, maybe, fluke a win.

This is simply another example of the big clubs dominating football to the detriment of the game. They want lovely long cup runs so they can be in lots of quarter finals and semis and make big money, which they can then spend on good players who fart around in the reserves, when they should be playing first team in the lower leagues.

Seeding bites.
