Dowie had the nerve to disagree with a point dixon or hansen had made. There was increduilty! Imagine a pundit with conflicting opinion!

At least Dowie had the last laugh as he was the only one of the three who went for a West Ham win!

Dowie was spot on. Vassell's best option wasn't out right as Konchesky and Collins had the two attackers covered. It was only after he jinked back that they had found extra space. He did the correct thing all the way through but his final ball was too weak, which allowed Konchesky to intercept.

Hansen & Dixon had toed the party line by saying that when Vassell went on a wily run he should have moved out wide before he got blocked off in the centre. Dowie disagreed, asking what he would have achieved by going wide, and felt that the lack of any support justified Vassell to keep on running directly. When you think that most of AJ's threat comes from his extremely direct form of attack, then you may have a point.

Hansen, shocked that anyone would disagree with his rubbish, made some comment about Palace, but I didn't quite hear it.

Frankly I could not give a toss about any of the pundits comments. What concerns me is why on the eve of our most important match of the season so far Dowie is not with the squad? I would have thought a bit of bonding at this stage was more important than working on his media image and arguing with Hanson. I would hope that Dowie is not in a position where he needs the money?

IMHO he should have been working on plan b & C for tonight, rather than concerning himself with Man City or West Ham, unless of course he was eyeing up both teams for a future job if either Pearce or Pardew go off to Lancaster Gate!

I assume that neither Dixon or Hansen will be offered a position on the Palace staff in the near future then?

I am sure that Mr D didn't have a second thought about it so we shouldn't be quite so sensitive about it anyway. In my opinion so called experts are only there to offer their opinion and some just want to cause controversy .....

Why are Palace fans so sensitive to anything relating to them on the tele? Hansen may know very well how to articulate his Footballing opinions brilliantly, but him and Dixon don't have the balls to go into Management due to fear of failure. Dowie may not be a remarkable Manager, but due respect for that alone.

Sorry have to disagree. Barton was in absolutely acres of space and even after Vassells walkabout he still should have found him with what should have been a simple pass. I can't remember who pointed it out but the problem with Vassell is that skillful as he undoubtedly is he simply doesn't seem aware of what is going on around him. I agree there was an element of 'how dare you' from the panel about Dowie's view but that aside I don't think his analysis was correct.

Rubbish. It was like 8pm-10pm. Why should Dowie be with them at that time? Why should the players even be together? They'll get sick of each other if they was with the same people 24 hours a day. I'm sure they did there usual routine and spent the day training together.
