Tommy the Eagle is playing for a contract
Thinking about crossing the big pond with a pal for the first 2 games if not the 3. What is the cheapest airline and what kind of price would i expect to pay? (never been outside Europe). I would need to get a flight from Edinburgh to Heathrow for starters. Also what is the travelling distances between matches? Didn't think for one minute i would need to purchase tickets for these games. I wouldn't have expected a large Palace contingent turning up including the US based fans.

We are going LHR-Washington and back from Baltimore. Currently £582 with BA and a bit less with Virgin. You may get cheaper deals if you hold on for a bit longer but that is unlikely. We actually paid £650 with BA because I booked at the wrong time .

The mtches are quite a way apart. There are internal flights from the Washington/Baltimore area to Richmond and back from Norfolk(Virginia Beach) but you may be better off hiring a car (about 4 hours Annapolis to Richmond) There are some excellent looking places to stop off at en route. You will pass through most of the historic civil war sites/towns.

emmmm I wonder. I certainly lef an impression on the Germans last year. Being emm assisted back to the station after the first game last year a German said "agghhhh English too much beer". He was not far wrong.The 6/7 pints prior to departure at 6Am followed by another round dozen prior to kick off did not help.

We should get on fine. I was reading a book on Virginia Beach last night and it seems the OB there have a low tolerance level to "drunken and lewd behaviour" which is good.

On a side note, the sportsplex/ground is •••••• miles away from the resort area.

the link has been taken off their site. We bought ours last week at www.marinesoccer.com but cant seem to find any mention of Palace there now. Slightly worrying

Indeed. Thank god I could only get booked on the Friday flight rather than the Saturday as initially planned.

Anyone affected out there in terms of due out on the saturday?
