Computer Doctor needed. Urgent.
In my office we have a PC's which is not very well. It seems to have a major video card problem ie it does not seem to work so the screen only displays in a limited amount of colours which makes things difficult to understand. Apparently the machine ( bought from Time :grr: ) came with a built in video card. We have had a new one put in but we cannot 'disable' the orginal one. This is where hopefully your expertise would come in.
If you can come to our office in Kennington, during office hours, and fix it for us we are quite happy to pay the going rate but it needs to be this week. Our number is 020 7582 7799 and ask for Matthew. Alternatively if anybody can recommend a place we can take the PC to be looked at and hopefully fixed whilst we wait. Thanks for any help Chaps and Chicks. !

Apparently that has been tried and failed which is why we have installed a new video card.
![]() Personally I want to just scrap the ******* thing but TAK reckons it can be fixed.

Its very likely that there will be a setting on the machine BIOS that will let you disable the on-board video card.
I guess The Doctor is going to sort it for you? If your still having problems PM me and I will come over and help you out.

Double-click the icon on your desktop or on your start menu. I'm guessing though that you can't be that computer illiterate - so you need to post your problem in a lot more detail to obtain any proper answers.

Right click on the icon and go to properties. Click on the shortcut tab and check that the path reads :
"c:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" This will work if you installed it in the default directory. If not then search for the file "msimn.exe" in the start\find menu. Link the shortcut to where the file is situated. Hope that helps.

Usually you have to set the drivers back to "Standard VGA", reboot, and then install the new drivers.

Isn't sirc32.exe one of the files dropped in by the w32/sircam-a virus? I'd do an (up to date) virus check if I were you. Have a look at http://www.sophos.co.uk/virusinfo/an...32sircama.html this is the "I send you this file in order to have your advice" virus James was talking about last week |
