Robbie Savage

Diver or not, personally I'd have him at Palace like a shot, committed, yeah sure he winds the opponents up, but he's staunch, O.K his celebrations on getting the penalty were over the top, what do you think?

I've never had a problem with Savage...he'd be a good signing, I think he's under-rated, and when it comes to challenges, he more often than not is targeted.

Robbie Savage interview

He talks about the hate mail he gets and how most fans of London teams dislike him. He mentions Palace as one of them because he turned us down for Leicester. I know money talks but I dont see him moving to London.

He's a good player but I don't really think he is the sort of player we need right now. Maybe a bid after we've been promoted and Leicester have been relegated may be more sensible than splashing out on him now.

admire him as a player.gives more than 100% each game, every game.
would love to see him in a palace shirt, but can't see it happening in the near future.

He is one of the few players I have actually met. He used to visit a female hallmate whilst I was at University in Leicester. He used to give it 100% then as well. Loud very Loud.

On the footballing thread he is a committed and battling, but does seem to court controversy. To much trouble.

I agree - v good player. His dive was over the top but the defender did catch him and let's be honest who at Palace wouldn't have cheered if one of our players did what he did.

I don't think we'll ever see him at Palace though - not unless we play Leicester next year in one division or the other.

Sorry you may have missed my point, I didn't think he dived, and that was the real question, I then got carried away about his merits, we do need one player like him. I'll probably get slagged off now, what I mean is a David Batty, Vinnie Jones, Robbie Savage, Stuart Pearce (the best), Paulo Di Canio etc, someone who wears their heart on their sleeve, i.e. Mr. 100 per cent, maybe I shouldn't of included Di Canio in that one but that's just wishful thinking, that's about it, what do you think? Mike.

I met Savage in Leicester and asked him if the biggest regret of his career was not signing for Palace. He laughed at me.

I did ask him if he'd ever sign for us in the future, and he said that we'd have to offer him loads a money, but that hed like to play alongside Morrison. Said Clinton is "massive." Wonder why they call him Lilly?
