Cottee

Palace never look like scoring. Top-drawer Premiership finisher available for nothing. Who signs him? the only bloody club below us, that's who.

Ok, he's not the big target man we've been after but who would you rather have upfront...McKenzie, Harris or Cottee?

AAAAAAAGH.

Are you sure?

Look to the future, we do not need has-beens. We are supposed to be a club on the up, not one that panic buy's.

Marco Gabbiadini was a panic buy that cost a lot of money. A free transfer is hardly a risk.

If we don't do something we'll be 10 points adrift by the time we've found

a) a club who wants to sell us a player
b) a player who wants to join us

I take it Cottee has gone to Norwich. He would have been a good short term signing though I sure Smith (and most fans) would rather see a bigger forward come in.

Yes, Cottee may have been good short term, but he's no target man is he.
If things would of gone Palace's way last week we may well of had Beattie playing for us on Saturday and after speaking to both Glenn Cockerill and Alan Smith on Saturday he would of done if it hadn't been for agents scuppering deals.
Although they are confident Beattie will still become a Palace player.

Of course, Cottee is cast-iron to get one or two against us this weekend!

Quite agree. We would not exactly lose out by giving Cottee a go would we. Free transfer..? Might be a has been but then so were Dowie and Stewart, and they did okay for us!!

I have heard something a bit like thataswell. I really hope we get Beattie,I think that his goalscoring record would get a lot better in the first division but the main thing would be the amount of goals he creates. If we don't get him, Lua-Lua and Moore from Stockport could both be bought for less than £3m

None of the above...I just want:

Big target man plus Morrison or Forsell - doesn't matter which. And preferably a big target man who will get on Forsell/ Morrison's case when he's being lazy...
