Mclaren aka Sven - He is exactly the same. Working with him for that amount of time has certainly rubbed off on him. The man is weak, Venables probably has more power than him and tells him what to do. We aint going to get anywhere with this clueless wonder, why couldnt we get someone with a bit more umph in them! His dull personality is surely rubbing off on the lads. What was with experimenting in a big game? •••• about in the small games because its cost us three points. There was no balace from left to right, too many centre mids and no communication with the back three cause theres to many bodys going to the same places! Why make three subs when Ashley was clearly injured? The poor fella had to continue hurt, hes lucky he didnt walk off and we went down to 10 men! As for Robinson •••• sake he cant kick a football to save his life! And Crouch, Downing and Lampard would be nowhere near my England team. I can bang on all night but I wont...

Beckham needs one chance to turn a game. Have him on the bench and if things dont go well bring him on second half. Get some balls in the box and have a go. Like Greece for example when he scored that free kick. Mclarens ••••ed up big time.

It was clear from the outset that Hiddink and O'Neill were by the most qualified for the job based on experience and achievements. McLaren was in pole position only because he was already within the FA set up and a run to the UEFA Cup Final (without a correspondingly successful season in the PL).

I think one of the pundits summed it up nicely when he said that England were playing a system that most other nations dropped ten years ago, namely 3-5-2. They are bland, uninspiring, overpaid and never going to win anything of any note.
