Thunderbird for macbook
I am having major issues getting this to work, including what my outgoing smtp server details are.

has anyone else had trouble with this?

make sure you have a valid outgoing mail server and check if you need authentication

I've just set up thunderbird to collect 2 yahoo accounts, it will keep me going until they improve on mail in leopard... hopefully

what account are you trying to setup?

i have email with easilymail.co.uk

not sure if i am putting in the right settings. how do i know what port setting to enter

i take it in server name i should enter: easilymail.co.uk
not sure what the port is, but default on thunderbird is 143 so have kept with that

any help most appreciated

have tried to find help online but doesnt seem to be much out there for thunderbird on macbook

I'm looking on the easilymail.co.uk website and it doesn't seem very helpful, it might be worth trying to e-mail them to ask for the full settings.

What error messages, if any, do you get when you try and send an e-mail?
