The city investing in players!!!!
Read an interesting article in the economist over the weekend, which claimed that pension fund managers are turning to football as a way of making money buy buying shares in young players. This happens quite regularly in South America but apparently pension fund managers are investing in second tier clubs (like palace) and buying shares in young promising players. Does anyone know of this actually happening in any clubs and what are your views on it?

Already happening, Mascherano and Tevez were owned by a London-based firm.

Bit different as they bought the players in South America.

Not sure I'd want my pension fund invested in a player at Palace.
