Queudrue for England?

http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?...otball_hom e&

Frank Queudrue will be eligible to play for England soon. I've always thought of him as a classy left back. Does anyone know if the same rule applies to Carlo Cudicini? I dont think he's been capped by Italy & has been playing in England for 5 years, a better keeper than Robinson imo.

Cudicini doesnt want to play for England, although he is eligible.

Don't want to go down this road, players should at least have some genuine family link with the country they represent. Anyway I'm off to the pub to cheer on Kevin Pietersen and the England boys in the cricket.

He is no way near good enough. Cole and Bridge are way ahead of him, and I would probably pick Baines and Matty Taylor in front of him as well.

In all seriousness though how does this work? Surely both Quedrue and Cudicini have represented their countries at full level and would therefore be ineligible? Or did they just represent them at U21 level?

Cudicini has been in the squad for Italy, many moons ago I might add but hasn't actually played. As far as I know Quedrue hasn't played for France at full level.

You can switch nation (provided you're eligable), if you haven't played a "Competitive" game for a nation.

Mark Crossley was an England U21 international, was on the bench for Scotland full team, before playing for Wales.

I like Queudrue but he certainly isn't international class.. toward the end of last season he couldn't get into Boro's starting XI behind Pogatetz and even Andrew Taylor.

I remember at one point it was being said that Edu could play for England, which would have solved left midfield. Brazil went ahead and gave him a cap the buggers

It does raise many questions, as now we see players as young as 15 and 16 playing and living in England, but are from another nation. I think one of the two lads who signed contract forms last week is associated with Ghana, same with Victor Moses, he plays for England U-xx, but, was born in Nigeria.
