Shefki Kuqi

He is available for probably less that £1M.Not a bad player.Good in the air and can also score a few goals.

Any thoughts?

ive seen him play twice, may of last season and august of this. both times he looked like a big useless lump, a poor man's uwe rosler ( ) if you will. BUT, he does seem to have a decent goalscoring record for stockport.

all things considered, i think that he would not be a good signing- IMHO he does not have enough quality to play at a higher level.

by looking at the current league table he and his stockport mates appear to be working wonders!does that answer your question?

No real skill, no finesse - and where did the "decent scoring record" come from? Playing for Stockport can't help, but don't see him as a significant source of goals. I belive he is being out scored by Finnish team mate Aki this season.

No thanks

What's happened to Aaron Wilbraham, does he still play for them? Where is he, I think he's good and he's tall!!!

Kuqi is overrated and undertalented.

The guy who mentioned Aaron Wilbraham wins today's talent spotter award though. He's a good prospect at this level - strong, wins loads in the air, is sharp in the box and can beat people too.

Shame he gets sent off now & then

FORTUNE FOR KUQI AS ROVERS MOVE FOR FINN

Kuqi: eyed by Rovers.
From Skysports:

Blackburn Rovers are preparing a £500,000 bid for Stockport County striker Shefki Kuqi.

Rovers boss Graeme Souness has already spoken to Stockport about the Finland international and is set to follow up his interest with a firm offer.

Blackburn chief executive John Williams told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "There has been some dialogue between us and Stockport during the last week or so."

The 24-year-old, who joined First Division strugglers County from Finnish side FC Jokerit in January, has scored just 10 goals for the Hatters.

Can’t see him being a regular. When you bare in mind they’ve got Jansen, Grabbi (who has failed to perform as yet), Bent and Hughes. I can’t see him having any sort of impact if he does sign.

They probably see him as an eventual replacement for Hughes. They are very similar, strong, good in the air, hold the ball up well. He will probably be used fleetingly as a sub in the last 10 mins of games in which they are behind when they go direct, long balls into the area.

speaking to a Blackburn mate of mine, the feeling up at Ewood park is that they would prefer to see Ben Burgess (on loan at Brentford at present) given a go, as opposed to signing Kuqi.

Shefki Kuqi -

I'm sure I read somewhere that this chap is available. He's knocked in a few goals for Stockport 10 in 30 games I think. If he's the player I'm thinking of he's also quite a big lad. He's an international and Finnish so could be company for Aki

Blackburn were making moves earlier in the season. Would he fit in with our system?

It was.

Kuqi could be a good call - big target man, can score with his head and feet, and probably other parts of his body. Proven at this level (with a mediocre team) etc etc
