does mcClaren have any idea??
probably several threads on this already. just seen the squad for the game against croatia. it makes no sense really.

there are 3 specialist left backs in there in cole, shorey and bridge plus barry, neville an lescott who are as adept as shorey there in any case. why has he wasted so many squad places here. surely have cole and then he can be covered by barry, neville or lescott, at most put bridge in but not shorey as well. might as well chuck baines in there as well.

qualification look unlikely but we still need to win the game ourselves, and we look very lightweight upfront. smith plays centre mid and aint a goalscorer, defoe isnt playing regularly and owen could break down at any minute. i knw at the moment there isnt a great number of striking options but surely bent would be required more than shorey or smith come to that.

i came to the conclusion along time ao that mclaren doesn't have what it takes to manage england but this has reinforced my feeling.

the sooner this inept 'manager' is relieved of his duties the better

he says he wont quit tho and who can blame him, with millions due in comp if they get rid off him.

to be fair to mclaren i wouldnt say there are a huge number of quality english players outside that squad,
that said the way he has used what we have has been poor

I'm not really sure on the details, but if the FA were to sack McLaren, wouldn't it cost a fortune? They're still paying off Sven (from what I understand) and were stupid enough to give tufty a 4 year deal. Even with the dosh they cream off football, I think if this is true, we are stuck with the man for some time yet, as he's never going to resign.

They're not AFAIW. His last payment was earlier this summmer sometime, hence why he then got off his arse to find a job!

Well yeah I agree. I really want us to qualify, seriously the thought of a major Championship without us makes me cringe. But we need rid - and quick.

mourinho has to be the choice. i know his last couple seasons at chelsea the football wernt great but he still got results so i think that would be a start. capello is also a great manager but nt sure if he speakes english and mourinho knows all about the emglish players fans and probably most importantly the press. he can handle them.

i want mourinho, i want mourinho (to the tune of we want our money back, something i find myself thinking most saturdays watching our dross)

im on about in comparison to his two seasons previous when they were playing with attacking guile week in week out, when robben was running at players and they were petrified, and the passing in the last third was unbelievable. the last two season they still played very very well but it hasnt bee in the same class as before, maybe something to do with the change of tactics. there was a difference or did that evade you?

its generally accepted they didnt play the football they did when they won the league the first time by the time mourinho was pushed
