1. I had already said I misread the post. 2. Frankly I don't think Chelsea were ever played that unbelievable football, and Robben only ever showed flashes of brilliance. Dont get me wrong Chelsea did deserve to win both titles, and I'm not saying they won ugly - but more like effectively. And Yes, the second title probably wasnt as good the first. Your description is more apt for Arsenal or Manure TBH. |

sorry had already started typing by the time you edited it. i do disagree and think they were a joy to watch that first year. beating teams 4-0 here and there and when robben came back from injury the first year he consistently terrorised defences until the end of the season. he was magnificent. i think my description is quite fitting of chelsea under mourinho.

My memory of Chelsea winning their titles, often consisted of lumping it up to Drogba then they would show a bit of skills and fancy stuff before scoring. Everyone would rave, but it often started from a long ball. Of course, it wasnt always the case and yes Robben did help them to the title and at times did play well. TBH I don't remember him playing all that consistently in the first place - always seemed injured. But ultimately I agree with you re: Mourinho |

i dont agree it started from long ball at all. checked and robben won player of the month for november, his first month in the prem, and was shortlisted for young player of the season, missing out to rooney. i dnt believe the first season drogba was used as much as he is now, think crespo even got 16 goals that year and damien duff and joe cole enjoyed running at teams. they broke away and the sheer pace goign forward saw them score alot of goals.
at least we agree on mourinho

I don't know if Mourinho would want the job - I know he is available but surely he must also have an eye on the Milan job. Can't see Ancelotti lasting too much longer there.
However I'd take Ancelotti for England manager too. |
