They were both pics I didnt feel really worked as colour shots, I was trying to replicant a pic I'd taken in Sikkim a few years before with the Nepal one but it was still a bit too light to really have the trees as just shadows...
![]() I don't have an SLR though, took all of these with a compac and autofocus(albeit generally tricking it by focusing on one point and then moving to another). |

Love the last one.
The one of the snow covered mountain - you don't get the sense of size until you see the group of people near the bottom of the photo. Brilliant ![]()

If the Volcano quiets down I'd recommend Iceland around march for some exotic scenary to photograph fairly cheaply, waterfalls like Selfoss and Skogafoss(the "scottish widows" waterfall) are really easy to get to and covered with giant icicles and keep crashing down into the river.

Newtown Linford side of Bradgate Park and called Little Matlock, the whole area would be ideal scenery for documentries/films relating to centuries gone by.....also looks like a scene from Jurassic Park.

Monkey Puzzle trees and Cedars of Lebanon were introduced into the park in the 1800's.
