He's only 25. How can he be past his best?

He's not playing well but that could be down to Bryan Robson.

Warnock got the best out of him.

probably true, but i thought tonge was quiet when he played in the prem and the season before, whereas before that he was outstanding.

This was in one of the Sunday papers (NOTW I think) where it stated that Robson has been told he needs to sell before he can buy and "'that may encourage Warnock to make a bid for the likes of Tonge, Quinn and Montgomery".

I still harbour hopes we can flog Green to Sunderland for 5 Million. There's an outside chance they may pay us 4 million for Flinders as well if we say it with conviction.

I really don't like Tonge. He used to be a good player, but now he seems to have lost that, whilst remaining a cheating little shit.

Montgomery's a no-nonsense midfielder who would be ok as a squad player.

Not sure how Alan Quinn's doing nowadays. Used to be a tidy little player at Wednesday but I think his younger brother took his place in the team at United!
