The Cult
Just wondered if any of the bbs will be at The Forum, in Kentish Town to see The Cult in febuary.

The first band i saw back in 1990 and i cant wait to see Astbury and Duffy strutting their stuff again.

just wanted to know if anyone else appreciated the goth rockers as much as i do. Im off to the cure at wembly the following month.

I might go, I too used to see them a loooong time ago, liked their earlier stuff better, Electric was ok, but Dreamtime and the SDC era was more my cup of tea (also used to be friends with Nigel prestons daughter, so got a few freebees!)

Would never of thought it of you Maidstoned, crackin band as were Death Cult. Many a night out drinking cider and jumping around.

There was another band we used to follow all over the place as well (well the Fulham Greyhound mainly) at the time, Rubella Ballet.

Brilliant band, have all their cd's, been to see them at Brixton Academy(4 times), the Marquee, Wembly Arena, Hammersmith Apollo. Town & Country Club (now The Forum). Unfortunately wont be able to make the Febuary London gig

Hugely underrated, never get played on the main radio stations who choose to play crap like Artic Monkeys, Babyshambles, kings of Leon etc etc. Never mind, class always prevails in the end.

Saw the Cult a couple of times, was fun the change between the Love and Electric era.

The Cure = the radiohead of their day were actually very good live

Don't worry about Ships being lonely at the Forum for The Cult, or indeed at Wembley for The Cure. He's going with me (his brother) for both gigs - I've got his ticket for each of them. He probably just wants to find someone else to hang out with at the gig, to avoid having to listen to me complaining about my knees and my back for the whole evening! I wouldn't blame him if he was.

The Cult gig on the Friday is sold out (the one we are going to), but there are still tickets for the Thursday and Saturday gigs available for anyone who is interested.
