More of a query
Now,

I just did this:

- In EDIT OPTIONS I changed "Show user's signatures in their posts?" from NO to YES (we will pass over the apostrophic error for now)

- In EDIT PROFILE I added for myself a new profile (see below)

I saved all modifications and so on, so don't bother me with helpdesk tattle.

Now I can see my new profile in new posts (such as this one) made after these changes. However, older posts of mine bear no signature.

I always thought that when you change your signature it acts retrospectively, across all your previous posts.

Was I wrong? Has this changed? Why do we not see our old signatures in our old posts?

This is a low priority posting, perhaps for James to tuck in to one lazy afternoon.

A further piece of information on this.

I just changed my signature from black font color to blue (BBS generic).

I notice that it has retrospectively changed the signature on my earlier posts to blue.

This indicates inconsistent machine behaviour, which some believe impossible, but others suspect to be an early indication of AI, or, in extremis, The Face of God.

This may be related to yesterday's hiccups, for which I believe you will not find a cause. It's pathological, and we're gonna need some better walking boots.

Sorry my confusedness was to do with your original post saying you couldn't see your signature in your older posts and following it up by saying it had changed your signature to blue in your older posts. I believe there could be an automatic link between the italicky type words in your posts that I am too dumb to know about so lets just leave it there shall we.
