Sky are so predictable
I see that the live games on Sunday and Monday are Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Sky really suck their cocks, donīt they. Money goes to money. I would be pretty upset if I were one of the other 16 teams in the league. Okay Wigan and Blackburn are featured, but that is because Sky unfortunately have to include the opponents or there is no match. Next season canīt they just break away and play each other in super sundaysa all season long. I swear the fans of those clubs probably wonīt notice.

I think I worked out the other week that not counting their final 5 league games plus a possible Champs league final that they have had 34 games on telly this season in all comps.
Some of these are of course ITV etc, but still 34 games when they have only played about 33 league games this season is rediculous!

This really got me riled when we were in the League, and it will next year too, but Reading were playing Fulham in a 6 pointer. Like when they decided not to televise our games against Norwich, Southampton and Charlton.

Sky will get more viewers for the big 4 games than a game such as Reading vs Fulham. It makes sense for them to screen big 4 games. Also, surely you're not suggesting they don't show Man Utd-Arsenal?! Sure, Top 4 games rarely fulfill the over-hype, but the quality on show is far higher than Wigan vs Derby or something similar. With the title race reasonably tight still, as well as the battle for the 4th CL spot, I don't see why Sky shouldn't have the top 4 in TV games. |

They are supposed to be covering the whole Premier League, though.
Why chose the Liverpool game? It is not as though there hasnĄt been enough coverage of Liverpool in recent weeks and with the semi final vs Chelsea coming up, even more. Of course Man Utd vs Arsenal must be featured. But Birmingham/Everton could have been picked.

Personally I enjoy going to games on a saturday so a lack of tv coverage is fine by me. I doubt the Birmingham fans are upset their game wasn't on Sky.

The Championship if the league to watch most definately, and I'm not saying that because Palace are doing well. It's always about the Premiership which pisses me off all the time ... The media are all the same and couldn't agree more with the original comments in here ... For god sake, ITV commentary was so pro LIverpool against Arsenal the other night it was ridiculous. I thought they were only in bed with United ....!

Sky already caught a cold with the lack of people using their Pay per View football, tomorrows game would've been one of those for sure.

sky can pay the big bucks to the english clubs (including the windfall we will get when we get promoted
) because of the rights deals they sell worldwide. The fact is there isn't much interest in other countries in watching the lesser teams.Just a fact of life. Having said that I could have watched anyone of 5 games last night from the following list and if I got bored I could change games as many times as I wanted. Birmingham 1 - 1 Everton St Andrews Stadium (25,923) Bolton 1 - 0 West Ham Reebok Stadium (23,043) Derby 0 - 6 Aston Villa Pride Park Stadium (33,036) Reading 0 - 2 Fulham Madejski Stadium (24,112) Sunderland 1 - 2 Man City Stadium of Light (46,797) Tottenham 1 - 1 Middlesbrough White Hart Lane (36,092 Plus this one Portsmouth 0 - 0 Newcastle

The Man Utd and Chelsea games should obviously be on TV as they could have a big impact on the final but Reading/Fulham should IMHO have been shown isntead of Liverpool/Blackburn. Unless the game involves Spur's does anyone really want to see a pointless mid table clash at this stage of the season?

I disagree here, give me Man Utd - Arsenal over Reading - Fulham or Brum - Everton anyday.

Typical sky pundits so pro Liverpool. Steven Gerrard blatantly dived but Gray and Redknapp still backing him. What was the difference between that and the one midweek (mancini for roma) yet they still manage to go with the attitude of Gerrard can do no wrong.

I've got Jon Champignon and David Ploot. They're sycophantic (as all commentators are) but it's tolerable. The "incident" in the box was ridiculous, Gerrard should have been booked. Roberts wasn't offside either.

Turn on Sky Sports News at any time of the day, and you can almost guarantee they will be talking about Manchester United, and then Chelsea and Arsenal, gets right on my tits.

Perhaps if people don't like their strategy so much, they should do the same with regular live coverage and not subscribe? I think the truth is, more TV football fans want to see the big 4 clubs. Sky are in it for the money, not for the good of football so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise.

Asia has a big influence. As someone else said, they are only interested in watching the big 4.
When I tell a class I support Crystal Palace, they all nod or look confused and then ask which of the big 4 I support. I then repeat that I support Palace, but they ask the same question again. They just don't understand. ![]()
