Hello

Does anybody know of any books or articles about Crystal Palaces tour of South Africa in 1992.

I am too young to remember it so if anyone can point me in the right direction.

There was a Channel 4 documentary about it.

From memory...

We beat Kaiser Cheifs 3-2 and lost 1-0 to Orlando Pirates.

Our injury list following the ground-breaking tour was pretty horrific and was often blamed by Steve Coppell for the reason we started poorly and eventually got relegated that season.

It's quite an interesting article, but they forgot to mention that one of the reasons for the trip was because Noades thought he could save on accommodation costs for the "coloured" players.

My Brother went with 3 others. I'll ask him if he'll put something up about the trip.

I also remember going to Rangers first game of the season, turning on the hotel telly in the morning and seeing highlights of the two matches.

Shame I couldn't speak to him for the piece. Advertiser said there were only seven Palace fans who made the trip!
