People that boo players being stretchered off
Are filfth and should be banned for life.
Watching the Liverpool/City game disgusted by a good section of the City fans booing off Skrtel after a nasty looking injury meant he was carried off with his leg fully strapped up clearly in a lot of pain. It wasn't even after a tackle and it left Liverpool with 10 men so can't even say they thought he was trying to imply a tackle was worse then it was.

Why not just hang draw and quarter them?

Last away game I went to a few years back against Gillingham our lot were booing off an injured Gills player...

For the record, the reason he was booed by SOME fans was that he earlier made a "reckless" (cynical!) challenge on Jo, kicking him in the back resulting in Jo limping off and being substituted. He deserved a card and got not so much as a warning. Many home fans felt he got his divine comeuppance.
However, I agree that booing an injured player off is out of order. Along with many others, I applauded him off as it's never nice to see a player injured badly.

Skrtel is a total thug. There are exceptions to every rule, for instance Robbie Savage, John Terry, Kevin Muscat are all players I would not applaud even if carried off injured.

Considering he should have been sent off for that awful kick on a City player earlier in the game, then injured himself fouling Evans.. you can see why he was booed. Not that I entirely agree with it.
Also, it IS ok to boo a player that goes off on a stretcher. Only to then get up once off the pitch and come back on again!

Indeed. And we showed we were above that sort of thing when we clapped their player who had to come off due to injury and had to walk round the pitch past us.

he should not be allowed back on. Its a time waster and a momentum killer and the sooner FIFA move on it, the better!

If John Terry was being carried off the field with a broken neck I'd happily stand over the and shit in his mouth.
Er.... is that a bit harsh? ![]() |

On the flip side of the coin I remember John Fashanu being stretchered off in the early 90s and being jeered having tried to decapitate Richard Shaw. That was one of his dirty tricks - foul someone then feign injury yourself.
