Match of the Nineties

Did anyone else watch this last night. Would you believe it, the only time they showed us was the game against West Ham that was abandoned due to the floodlights "going out". And that fatarse Mark Radcliffe said it was West ham against WIMBLEDON......ahhhhhh.....I despair sometimes, is this all part of the conspiracy??

I can't wait for the day we win the f***ing premier league, and I am the chairman, and I am interviewed on match of the day after our 35 minute 'main match' coverage and I ignore the f***ing question and shout 'we are f***ing Palace, listen to us... PALACE'
The whole world will know who we are and will listen to us and take notice. I am absolutely pissed off with the coverage of big clubs. I hate Wimbledon more than any club in the premier but I am also pissed off with the way they are the last game everyweek on match of the day. 12 o'clock without fail, and this is simply because they are small and have the least supporters. bbc think they can just sweep small clubs under the carpet and if we were in the premier league we would take the place of wimbledon at the end of the program. They have been known to miss some of our goals completely. Sort it out.

phew...... thats better

Anyone who watched that programme on Monday night would not be mistaken for thinking that there were only four teams in the Premier League that season, Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea and..... Barnsley, because they were the four teams that the programme seems to cover all the time. Palace featured only twice in the programme once when they were mistaken for Wimbledon in the abandoned West Ham game as brighton eagle said, and the other was when they showed the bottom of the table in March and even then they talked about Barnsley but not Bolton or Palace.

Yup. This is just typical of the kind of coverage we get, particularly from the BBC. I do remember us not even getting a mention on Match of the Day a couple of seasons ago, even though we played that day. I'm trying to understand the reason for this.

Could be something to do with Lynam being a Brighton fan. I'm glad that pesky smooth operator has pissed off, mind you Lineker hasn't got much more sense.

Lets smash up BBC centre, it's in west London somewhere I beleive. I think Oisin works there so he could let us in to wreck the place. Obviously I'm too far away so I'll have to rely on you guys, I'd love to be there myself leading the charge, but what can you do? MOTD is on saturday nights when I'm usually out getting butchered so whatever they show is of no consequence to me.

Seriously to most neutrals we are a small insignificant club so how much of Palace do you expect in a 30min programme covering an entire season. Sad but true.

I think they should dedicate at least a full programme to the antics that have occurred at Palace over the past year, not just a couple of seconds on MOTD.

Crimewatch maybe ?

Lets do it, exiled is right. We'll break in while they are doing MOTD, attack Line Acre...and take over....hehe...this program is dedicated to CRYSTAL PALACE....we could take Vinnie with us, and give Gary to him.

What moment would you choose to feature involving Palace that was important to the season? We came bottom and did fck all. I don't think any team has a god given right to coverage cos they've been in the top flight and that goes for Palace as well.

Oisin, I remember the Match of the Seventies and Eighties series programmes covering the battles at both ends of the table and mentioning a wide range of teams. The Match of the nineties series just concentrated on only half a dozen teams at the top of the table each season, that's what I found rather disappointing. Also mistaking us for Wimbledon in the 97-8 season programme shown this week was a fatal error which sums up the whole series, they couldn't even get that right. Also they should have mentioned our good start we made that season but instead they covered the Barnsley vs Chelsea game in August then went straight to October.
