Speroni's Premier League goal
JULIAN Speroni has admitted his hopes of being called up by Argentina would be handed a massive boost if he could help Crystal Palace reach the Premier League.

But the Eagles number one is not ruling out the possibility that he could achieve his burning ambition to represent his country while still plying his trade outside of England’s elite division.

He said: "It would be easier to get noticed playing in the Premier League and that’s why I really want to get promoted this year.

"But I still think everyone has a chance anyway and you never know. I just have to keep playing the way I am playing and if the chance comes that will be excellent."

I think we are a bit lucky at this stage that PL managers remember his couple of howlers during the PL season. Otherwise I reckon one or two would be champing at the bit to sign him. Harry Redknapp for example.
