2 groups of 4 teams.
Top 2 qualify for the semi finals (1st GPA v 2nd GPB, 1st GPB v 2nd GPA)

Semi finals - 2 legged match (2nd place teams play at home first. No away goals. If scores are level after 2 games a third game is played to decide the fixture. ET and Pens are included in the 3rd game - not the 2nd game. Team who finished 1st plays the 3rd game at home)

Final - 1 match (2 x 8min Halves)

After reading the main FIFA 09 thread, it got me thinking.

Would people be up for a custom team league? We may even be able to introduce a transfer system of some sort.

...or is that too complicated?

Probably shouldn't just be limited to Europe actually as there are some South American teams and MLS teams in the game. So it's completely open, any team in the world who are 4 stars and below and who are not based in England.

Very true.

We could have a maximum team rating though (by adding up players overall rating) to stop that.

I like the idea of a cup with 8 teams. 2 groups of 4 and then semis.

Or even 16 teams with 4 groups of 4 and then quarters.

It's a good idea Omen but the problem is you are trying to get people to commit to more games than they already do and at the end of the day people don't want to have to arrange more fixtures and spend the majority of their time on xbox playing "must play" games.

I can understand your frustration at having to wait at the moment but it won't be long before the new fixtures are posted.

A BBS cup Omen, like old times. Get everyone interested signed up then we can pick a team for them out of a hat.
BTW If Kingsey got his finger out we would be able to get the next lot of fixtures, I know teenagers are lazt but cant be bother to take gears of war out of his X Box, hate to see the state of his room
