Apparently Flavio Briatore was on the verge of appointing himself.

Don't expect this appointment to work at all. Can't see Sousa's knowledge of this division being too high and I don't think he'll know what style is needed to get out of it.

I often wonder about this mindset sometimes. I'm not criticising, I'm just saying... A lot of foreign players state that they grew up watching English football. Who's to say that Paulo Sousa isn't a big fan of English football and has at least a rough idea of what the Championship is like eh!?

Hmmm, Briatore seems like a loose cannon, Mittal has already lost interest (lots of other business things to worry about), and Ecclestone is about to have a messy and (very?) expensive divorce.
