Clarke And Kirovski Rumour

I've just heard a mate of a mate of a mate or Jordan thats Clarke and Kirovski may be heading to Birmingham next week. I can't see it happening personally but i thought i would share it with you!

Jordan says we are not a selling club and i doubt he would want anyone else to jump ship to Brum! Also the agreement between Bruce etc about snatching our players.

Perhaps they are unhappy at Palace?

I can't see it happening tho, although my source is about 50/50 he gets it right! Oh well just have to wait and see!

the words crap and boll0cks come to mind here

1.) Why would they want a new keeper (Ian Bennet and Nico Vaesen on their books alread who are both fine keepers)
2.) We wouldn't want to get rid of either as they are top class players

And also the moment Jordan picks up the phone and hears the slags voice he puts it down again

Yup have to agree with all of that. We would be mad to sell them, especially to Brum!

That really would well and truly put the cap on the court case.

Having spent all that time money and effort ensuring the Bruce could not poach staff - why on earth would he then allow it to happen?

Makes no sense whatsoever I'm afraid.

I wouldn't be overly surprised if we offloaded Clarke. Jordan was a bit miffed when he had to fork out for Clarke when he considered Kolinko was a good keeper who just needed some coaching. As he appears to have been proved correct, Clarke is a very expensive stand-by keeper.

I have to agree that this point alone causes me some concern over our Matty's commitment to Palace. I wonder if he realises that he is no longer guaranteed to start when he's fit, and perhaps wishes to be first choice somewhere else ?

If that's true, he'll have to beat out Ian Bennett at Brum. I wouldn't put it beyond Judas and the Scum on the Brum board to have tapped up Clarke and Kirovski though.

If Jovan is only on a one season contract, he is allowed to sign a pre-contract to join another club (next season) from the 1st Feb.

Yep, he is technically a free agent 6 months before the expiry of his contract. I personally wouldn't bet on him staying.

Then again, IMHO that would not be too great a loss

I realise this seems to be a wild rumour but I have to say that it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

And I remember how little credence I gave the Bruce rumours when they started.

I saw a statement made by Clarke shortly after Bruce left and it was very supportive of him which surprised me coming from a man who's boss had just run out on him having signed him a few weeks previously.

I also recall a story from Bruce about how Kirovski had made "great sacrifices" by joining Palace, even though we are led to believe he's on "Premiership wages".

This is Palace. Nothing should surprise us.

If they do go - let's hope we get some decent money in for them, that's all.

Obviously the fact that Kirovski came in and made and immediate impact has slipped past some

Both are top quality players - we should do our upmost to keep them here

This makes no sense! Well not the Clarke bit of this rumour. Brum don't need 3 first team standard keepers! Why would they sign Clarke! Also Jordan would charge unbelieveable amounts for Clarke just to put off Brum. Kirovski however, does worry me. Even if we have an agreement that stops Brum from buying out players, if his contract is up at the end of the season, there can be no way in my mind that Brum could be breaching any contracts or simliar agreements by signing him, so hopefully he wants to stay and think he could be a real use in the prem, should we get there.

I would think that Francis is pressing Jordan to open more talks with Jovan. Why not ask at the next fans forum?

On the question of Kirovski, I did hear that Palace were trying to negotiate a new contract being fully aware of his 'free' status at the end of the season but I haven't heard anything about the progress.

There was one game. I think it was the Notts Forest game, when he quite openly ridiculed Francis and the gestures he was making. And ran quickly off the pitch at the end without acknowledging an admittedly lukewarm Palace reception. I feared the worst. But since then there has been Bradford, a very creditable performance at Newcastle, and a strengthening of the squad. Perhaps he might be more interested in staying.

As for Clarke, he is a worry. I haven't seen any satisfactory explanation for his 'accident' and there have been times during games when I have been concerned by his tendency to present an 'insolent' front. I remember one incident in particular when he made a great issue when a linesperson declined to kick the ball from under his feet towards Clarke so that he could take a goal kick.

Also, do we know why he fell out with Bradford? He clearly has talent so why would they be happy to let him go.

There are too many unexplained issues for my liking.

Agreed but have this feeling in my water that Kirovski won't be here next year. Also can't see us holding onto two quality keepers. Hope my water is wrong.
