Geoff from Tenek plays with Mesh live (and also did the 2 Alien 6 remixes), he's off to join them around now for rehearsals for the tour. You should deffo get their album. I even bought all the singles too, some really great stuff.

The above may have put JJ off buying it though, LOL.

As for the mesh album, I think JJ would like the human league style track with the girl on it, cant remember what it's called.

Good idea (although the new Memory Tapes album is great)

Anyway, if this thread is now going to go Synth image crazy, here's mine:-

Ah, the good old stylophone, as used on Kraftwerk's Computer World album (on Pocket Calculator).

This is my keyboard (which I would still use if still writing music, albeit hooked up to cubase or cakewalk):

And this is the drum computer I used for ages, until cubase appeared:

This is the first mini-sampler I had - cheap and nasty, but I got loads of great noises out of it which I used. It was especially good for sampling vocal things and guitar twangs, iirc.

JJ sell the innocents remastered to me, is it worth getting? Had a listen on MP3, and it was nice enough, but is the CD worth a purchase? There's no DTS and no 24 bit/96 khz PCM, so what's the point?

Did anyone get into circuit bending? My mate's got a great speak and spell he gets his robot voices from for recording for his band.

That sk-1 was the was the one where you could sample for about 3 seconds, wasn't it?

Yes. It was pretty good for what it was (i.e. cheap.) I took it into the office once, and sampled the phone ringing. I then hid it under my desk and hit the key, pretending I was already on the phone myself, and it was quite funny watching the other guy (very much senior to me) go round picking every phone up, getting more and more pissed off and swearing under his breath as each one was dead. Finally he sat down, so I did it again.

oh well, I coughed for it anyway, along with some DM remasters that have the 24bit/96khz audio. Few HD music download sites springing up lately offering high end downloads, sadly no content that I like, but it's coming. 7 digial have started offering it on a few bits too.
