No jeans & trainers (trousers & shirt will do - no need for suit & tie)
No freebies - unless you sponsors' package includes the meal beforehand? In which case you get a 3 course meal (carvery) & wine.

No Palace shirt, always gets me this one. You pay shed loads of money for pre-match meals, tickets etc then, you can't wear your team colours that the club sell to you for £40 a time! Oh, & don't shout 'Jordan out'! ha ha

Surely this thread should be entitled 'Portakabin do's and don't' ?

10 of my mates got together and booked one for my birthday once, when I was on a flying visit from Australia. Imagine our surprise when we turned up in an array of jeans, T-shirts and colours. The guy who organised it had asked about dress code and was informed that whatever you would normally wear to football would be fine!

Director's box is the bit behind the dugouts, where SJ stands - think people are getting confused with the executive boxes

I have got a ticket for the Directors Box which I may use this weekend. I presume the dress code is still 'smart'.

Is there a separate bar/lounge area for directors box tickets?

Not sure it has ever been smart. All the rules are or were is no trainers, denim jeans or football shirts. You could come in with trouser covered in whatever as long as you were wearing them and not jeans.
I think they have relaxed things somewhat as SP sometimes wear denim jeans. I could never understand why a smart pair of jeans was not better than a dirty pair of trousers. Be on the safe side though and wear a crap pair of trousers or cords.
There are 2 bars. One that actually now sells hot dogs and pies. Things are improving there like everywhere else in the ground under the new lads.

Cheers for that. So its basically a seat in the centre of the stand with use of bar facilities similar to the Players lounge or Stephenson Lounge. Do SP and visiting directors/VIPs use the same bar or do they have their own lounge? Trying not to sound like an idiot but its the only part of the ground I haven't sat in.

There's the Steve Coppell Lounge and the Executive Lounge for people with tickets in the box. Then there's the members only Vice Presidents and then the Board Room. Is a sponsors lounge up there too I think.

Yes similar to Glaziers and players, but obviously a better class of person
Note the atmosphere is crap though.

No SP and crew have their own bar. And you do get a free cup of tea or cof at HT

Have a good day.

One more thing. If you go into the small bar about 2.45 all the cheerleaders come in before they go on the pitch and they are all lovely girls.

Always gets me that you can't wear Palace shirts, the same shirts they are selling in the club shop. If you have time after the game, you will meet a few players & Dougie in the executive lounge.
