Kelvin Morton

anyone remember kelv, he was of course famous for being the ref in the 5-4-3-2-1 games against the seaweeds, 5 penalties, 6? bookings and a sending off what more could oyu want from a ref, but i seem to remember a couple of other qulaity performances at palace.

In particular a ZDS game against Luton when he sent off two of their players and their coach.

anyone remember any others

I remember the Luton game, a Simod Cup Tie, freezing cold and the smallest crowd I can ever recall. At least I now know who the other person there was!!

Mr Morton is now the head of referee asessment.

Charlton 1993 League cup game at Selhurst, Pitcher (playing for them) blocks a cross field pass and the ball loops back to Salmon? (a fish like keeper if ever I saw one), who catches it.

Kelvin Morton gives an indirect free-kick about 5 yards out which Deano smashed home!

Excellent work, whistle-fella

Gillingham fans started a Kelvin Morton appreciation society. I guess that he was considered a star in many places in England!
