My house was flooded 2 years ago through rain.

There is weather everyday - what are they warning us about. They need to change the terminology.

Maybe because 2 years ago they didn't give enough warning and lots of people got caught out with flooding, so they are being a bit over cautious now

The trouble is these days we seem to get more monsoon type heavy rainfall. This in turn, obviously, leads to flooding.

I'm not quite at the top of the hill, and my garden runs downhill towards my house, although it was the patio that got flooded. The gutters were full of crap I think and the water couldn't run away fast enough, so it came in through my French doors into my dining room

The Met's colour coded warning signs for heavy rain include Orange - Be Prepared & Red - Take Action.

As we are talking about rain does that equate to Orange - take an umbrella & Red - Open the umbrella and stand under it?
